We are thrilled to introduce you to Certified Tenet Beef !
Our story- I first heard about Tenet about a year ago and was excited to find out more about it ! Last winter we took tissue samples from 10 animals and sent them on their way to California to get tested. 2 animals passed the test for Certified Tenet Beef which wasn't amazing but at least we had some! This spring we tested all our calves. 6 passed the test, 3 being steers which are available to order for this winter, 3 were heifers which will be added to our herd to start expanding the Tenet count in the herd.
Let me tell you more about Tenet- Frank Hendrix the founder of Callipyge Genetics and Tenet Beef, began researching meat tenderness over 30 years ago. Finally after years of work and patience his efforts have paid off! And now finally we are able to benefit from this as well, by being able to breed for tenderness in our cow herds.
